Effective Home Remedies To Fight Diabetes

Diabetes is a disorder where your body fails to regulate the amount of sugar in your blood. The incidence of diabetes is on the increase. For most people, diabetes presents a very difficult condition as it requires strict dietary restrictions and changes in the lifestyle.Diabetes is a very common, but an acute health syndrome. Usually it is of two types i.e. type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is uncontrollable increase in the blood sugar level. On the other hand, type 2 diabetes is a lifelong health disorder which is characterized by insulin resistance in the body.

Diabetes is a disorder characterized by excess amount of blood glucose or blood sugar. This occurs due to lack of the hormone insulin in the body or because the insulin that is present in the body is not absorbed by the body. There are two types of diabetes: Type 1 diabetes called insulin dependent diabetes that usually affects children and teenagers and Type 2 that was previously called non-insulin dependent diabetes and usually affects adults. If left untreated, high glucose levels can damage blood vessels, posing great health problems in the long run.                                                          

Green tea

Drink a cup of green tea on an empty stomach daily in the morning before your breakfast; is good for overall health. Green tea has polyphenol content, a strong antioxidant compound that is helpful in reducing the blood sugar insulin level in the body.

Fenugreek

Diabetes can also be controlled by a herb called fenugreek. These fenugreek seeds should be soaked in water for a whole night and should be taken early in the morning, without eating anything prior to it. Powder of fenugreek seeds mixed with milk also helps you keep away from this disease. Making it daily routine for few months controls blood sugar levels.

Bitter Gourd

Having a glass full of bitter gourd juice in the morning and that too empty stomach will help you in maintaining a proper glucose levels in your body, over a period of few months. It will be really bitter when you drink it, but very benefitting.

Cinnamon

Cinnamon is another ingredient that is bliss for patients, suffering from diabetes treatment mellitus. Mix 4 teaspoons of cinnamon powder with water and boil it on low flame. Consume this extract every day for controlling and maintaining healthy blood glucose levels in your body.

Drumstick

Drumstick (Moringa) leaves are high in fiber content best known for their ability to boost one’s energy. The leaf increases satiety and helps in slowing the breakdown of food and also in lowering blood pressure.
